Realty Pros Assured's beachside office hosted a beach clean-up effort on Saturday, Sept. 7, following Hurricane Dorian in response to local needs.
Beginning Sept. 9, all Realty Pros offices will become drop-off locations for donations to help the Bahamas after Dorian.
“We are all so grateful that we didn’t suffer any severe damage or losses in our community,” said Realty Pros Assured co-founder Bill Navarra in a press release. “What happened to the Bahamas could have happened here. We want to show our gratitude by helping to care for the people there. Their needs are so deep and so wide. It will take all of us to help.”
The offices are located at 2110 Oceanside Blvd., 900 W. Granada Blvd. Suite 3, 840 Dunlawton Ave. Suite D in Port Orange and 211 E. International Speedway Blvd. Suite 104 in Daytona Beach. The company is asking no clothes be donated.

After almost 25 years of service as pastor of Holy Cross Eastern Orthodox Church, Friar Michael Byars is retiring. He was recognized at aa recent Feast of the Elevation of the Holy Cross.
Byars came to the parish close to its inception in 1995, and remained through its growth from a small group of people to a flourishing congregation, according to an announcement from the church. The church's new pastor Friar Yuri Brubach was installed this past weekend.

The Daytona Mazda dealership recently donated $2,000 to support the Wreaths Across America project honoring local fallen heroes.
Members of the local project and the Capt. James Ormond Chapter of the
Daughters of the American Revolution thanked the dealership and General Manager John Pandelos for the contribution, which will help the chapter place commemorative wreaths on the graves of all veterans at the Hillside Cemetery at noon on Saturday, Dec. 14.
The Halifax Art Festival T-shirt design was recently unveiled by Festival Chair Kathy Wilson during an exclusive party held at Tic Toc Enterprises on Beach Street in Daytona.
The 57th-annual festival will host over 250 juried fine artists displaying works of arts on Beach Street, from Orange Avenue to Bay Street, on Nov. 2-3. The festival will present artwork including oil and acrylic paintings, jewelry, ceramics, glass work, photography, creative crafts, and more. It will also feature two stages of live music, a student art exhibit and competition, children's area and food trucks.
