Former Buccaneers star running back D'Andre McMillian was second on the team in receiving yards in Murray State's 59-7 blowout of Morehead State on Saturday, Sept. 21. McMillian hauled in four passes for 79 yards for the Racers.
Seabreeze's cross country team ran at the DeLand Invitational on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at the Sperling Sports Complex in DeLand. The Sandcrabs' girls team took third place. Runners Nickole Dane (22:21.50) and Kimberly Collins (22:21.60) earned ribbons, coming in eighth and ninth, respectively.
Seabreeze's cross country team also competed in the Embry-Riddle Asics Classic on Saturday. The boys and girls team each finished in fourth place.
Former Mainland football player Cyrus Fagan, a defensive back for Florida State, had a critical interception in the Seminoles' win over Louisville on Saturday. Down 24-21 with 9:45 to play in the fourth quarter, Fagan picked off the Cardinals' quarterback inside the red zone. The Seminoles won the game 35-24.
Mainland's cross country team also ran in the Embry-Riddle Asics Classic. The Buccaneers' girls team finished ninth as a team, but Mainland's Madelyn Bronson cracked the top 10 with a time of 21:47.72.
