Volusia reviewing Gov. DeSantis' executive order, information hotline to open

Residents can call the county's Citizens Information Center between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m. on weekdays.

Following Gov. Ron DeSantis issuance of a stay-at-home order, effective 12:01 a.m. on Friday, April 3, Volusia County officials are reviewing the order and making necessary changes to county government-related operations, according to a press release. 

The city of Ormond Beach is also reviewing the order at this time. 

Volusia will open a Citizens Information Center on Thursday, April 2, to help answer general questions regarding COVID-19 in the county. Residents can call 866-345-0345 between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m., Monday through Friday.

All health-related questions should still be directed to the Florida Department of Health Call Center at 1-866-779-6121.
