The Philippine American Association of Palm Coast has donated $1,000 each to the AdventHealth Foundation, to the city of Palm Coast's Mayor's Feed Palm Coast Initiative, and to the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church.
"Our organization is small, but we tried to do our almost to help as we are part of this community," PAAPC President Winda Almazan said in a news release.
FPC art student Alexa Schlegel created an art image of the Flagler County Sheriff's Office's police dog, K-9 Jax. The FCSO shared the image on its Twitter account April 27, with the words "Beautiful job!"
The Flagler Beach Police Department and Flagler County Fire Rescue both brought food to Flagler County' emergency dispatchers this past week in National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week
Researchers at the University of Florida's Whitney Laboratory for Marine Bioscience, which sits on the border between Flagler County and St. Johns County, created their own hand sanitizers and surface sanitizers and shared them with the Council on Aging in St. Johns County, according to a post on the Council on Aging's Facebook page.
"We are so grateful to the Whitney Lab and its researchers," COA executive director Becky Yanni said in the Facebook post.
Sheriff's Office K-9 Axle, a Belgian Malinois, turned 2 on April 16. Axle is handled by Deputy Aaron Beausoleil. Axle completed his training in November 2019.
