Flagler County, effective immediately on Aug. 21, has closed the process for new applications for the federal Coronavirus Relief funds allocated to assist individuals negatively impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We have reached our quota for the $5 million allocated for the grants,” said Health and Human Services Director Joyce Bishop. “For those of you that have already submitted an application and have an appointment, please be sure to keep your appointment.”
Applicants will be required to provide a Florida drivers license or a state-issued photo identification card, and ALL of the bills being claimed — not just the last bill with the total amount due.
“If you are submitting your lease as proof of your rent, please be sure that the lease is current, the address is correct, and that it is signed by all parties,” Bishop said. “If you are missing documents, or have incomplete documents, you will have to reschedule your appointment.”
Having all the required documents makes the process faster and smoother.
Interview appointments continue to be held at 1000 Belle Terre Blvd., Palm Coast, just past Tractor Supply Company. Follow the signs to the entrance of the brick building, which is the David I. Siegel Adult Day Care.
“We are reviewing applications daily for payment processing,” Bishop said. “We appreciate residents’ patience as we work to get the funding out as quickly as we can.”
