Matanzas started the game evenly matched with visiting team Atlantic High School, but quickly found themselves slightly trailing behind over the course of the game. The Pirates lost 44-34 on Dec. 8.

The Pirates are now 0-4 and host Flagler Palm Coast on Friday, Dec. 11.
