Flagler County commissioners at a 9 a.m. Monday, July 13, meeting will consider a potential mediation agreement with Captain's BBQ at Bings Landing, a possible sale of the vacant former Flagler County Sheriff's Operations Center, and the future of the proposed Army Corps of Engineers dune restoration project, among other matters.

General business and public hearings:
According to a Flagler County meeting agenda/backup document, general business and public hearing items that will come before the commission at the July 13 meeting include, among others:
- The establishment of millage rate for a notice of property taxes for the 2020-2021 fiscal year
- Consideration of a bid by GPR1 LLC, in the amount of $807,000, for the purchase of the Sheriff's Operations Center property on State Road 100
- Consideration of an ordinance approving a local amendment to the Florida Building Code to be incorporated into the County Code of Ordinances regarding Risk Category IV wind speed maps.
County attorney report/comments:
- Status and update on Army Corps Dune Restoration Project
- Review of final offer in mediation by Captain’s BBQ: Flagler County has been in mediation with Captain's BBQ since February 2020 over the details of the restaurant's use of county-owned land at Bings Landing Park. County Attorney Al Hadeed presented a summary of the mediation during a May 18 commission meeting, and the parties have since met again, and Captain's BBQ has presented the county with its final offer. "Because of the manner in which it addresses critical issues to the County, the final offer constitutes impasse in the mediation in the County Administrator’s judgment," the staff document says.
