Movie theaters are among the list of entertainment businesses authorized to open at 50% capacity, as of 12:01 a.m. Friday, June 5, as Gov. Ron DeSantis announced Phase 2 of the Task Force to Re-Open Florida plan. Gatherings are recommended to be kept to below 50 people.

Restaurants are still restricted to 50% of capacity, but "bar areas may be open with seated service." Nightclubs must still remain closed.

The order states that the following entertainment businesses can reopen at 50% of capacity, with social distancing:

  • movie theaters
  • concert houses
  • auditoriums
  • playhouses
  • bowling alleys
  • arcades

The following personal services are also allowed to reopen, as they follow safety guidelines:

  • tattooing
  • body piercing
  • acupuncture
  • tanning
  • massage
