Who better to teach about bike safety than an American race car driver?
Temple Beth-El School students were paid a visit by Scott Lagasse Jr. on Wednesday, March 11, where he presented them with information for the Florida Department of Transportation's initiative "Alert Today, Alive Tomorrow." This March was designated as Florida Bicycle Month by Gov. Ron DeSantis, and the campaign advises motorists to slow down and share the roads with pedestrians and bicyclists in a safe manner.
The Prince of Peace Council of Catholic Women attended the All Souls Divine Liturgy at Holy Dormition Byzantine Catholic Church on March 7, according to a press release.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Realty Pros Assured will donate 1% of its company commission dollars for the rest of March to help local families, owner Bill Navarra said in a press release.
Food Brings Hope will work with school officials to reach families in need of additional help.
"Our hearts go out to the families who may not be able to work due to the current Coronavirus epidemic and want to make sure, through our contribution, that these families have enough food and other necessities," Navarra said. "Food Brings Hope is an organization that will make sure 100% of all donations directly and quickly reach the families in need.”
