COVID-19 testing continues in Flagler County; turnaround times uncertain

'All testing sites and labs are doing their best to notify those with positive results in a timely fashion,' Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord said.

Flagler County is continuing with COVID-19 testing for the foreseeable future at the Daytona State College campus in Palm Coast, but the increased demand on the labs processing the results throughout the country means that officials will no longer estimate the turn-around time of those results.

“All testing sites and labs are doing their best to notify those with positive results in a timely fashion,” said Emergency Management Director Jonathan Lord. “At this point in time, we cannot officially commit to time frames for test results.”

Flagler County encourages anyone who has experienced any of the CDC listed COVID-19 symptoms – or has been directly exposed to someone with COVID-19 for an extended period of time – to request an appointment at any of the local testing locations: 

  • Primary healthcare provider – they can either conduct the necessary testing, or refer you to an affiliated testing site.
  • Florida Department of Health-Flagler at 301 Dr. Carter Blvd., Bunnell (call 386-437-7350 for an appointment)
  • Flagler County Resident Community Testing Site, Daytona State College, 3000 Palm Coast Parkway SE, Palm Coast (call 877-847-8747 for an appointment)
  • Urgent Care Centers, including: Centra Care Palm Coast (386-225-4631), MediQuick Palm Coast North (386-447-6615), MediQuick Palm Coast South (386-597-2829), CentraCare Ormond Beach, (386-317-9055).
