Ormond Beach Elementary partnered with its PTA and the Ormond Garage to thank the school's teachers as part of Teacher Appreciation Week.
The school held a drive-thru event on Friday, May 8, where teachers were given a hot meal and a gift bag. OBE Principal Shannon Hays, School Board Member Carl Persis, and members of the PTA greeted the teachers and faculty with mask-covered smiles and signs.
"Our teacher have never worked harder and they have been a true source of light in your children’s lives," said Hays in an email. "I am very proud of the work they are doing."
