Two dogs and two cats have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.
The first dog is Dommer, a 6-year-old Australian shepherd mix with a white and grey coat. He arrived to the Halifax Humane Society as a transfer from a partnering shelter. He is a sweet, playful boy looking for his perfect home. While HHS believes Dommer is deaf, he does understand hand signals for "sit" and "shake." He loves to be outside and his favorite activities include playing fetch and running around the HHS play yards. His adoption fee is $70.
The second is Beau, a 5-year-old Great Dane mix with a black coat. According to the HHS website, he is a "shy, yet charming canine searching for a patient owner." His adoption fee is $100.
The first cat is Hylee, a 2-year-old domestic medium hair mix with a grey and white coat. She should have plenty of energy to play, so be sure to have lots of jingle balls, strings and catnip mice on hand. Her adoption fee is $50, and she is located at the Pet Supermarket in Port Orange. Her adoption fee is $50.
Last but not least is Pawlie, a 1-year-old domestic shorthair mix tabby cat with a beige and black coat. She is still pretty young and full of energy, and with a little patience and love, Pawlie could become your best friend. Her adoption fee is $50.
The Halifax Humane Society is now open to the public by appointment only during its regular business hours. To adopt, contact [email protected] or call 274-4703.
