Buccaneers' late push keeps season alive

Mainland traveled to Matanzas High School on Nov. 20 for the first round of the playoffs

A slow start that nearly cost Mainland the season was salvaged after three touchdowns went unanswered by the Matanzas Pirates late in the third quarter and into the fourth

Lucas Williamson, TJ Lockley, James Randle and Greg Mango helped make big plays to keep the Buccaneers in the game and ultimately the team's 2020 season alive.

Tonight's win means that Mainland will continue to the next round of the 2020 FHSAA playoffs. It is not known at this time who their next opponent will be or where they will be playing.
