While the scoreboard seems to suggest a closer battle, Flagler Palm Coast (2-1) comfortably beat the University Titans (2-1) 27-12 to secure their second win of the season, while handing the Titans their first loss on Friday, Oct. 2, at FPC High School.
The Bulldogs got offensive scores from Tyshawn Blount and Dakodah Wagner, but Jaylen Collins provided the biggest spark of the night with a 95-yard kick return to begin the second half. And the Bulldogs' defense forced two turnovers, including a broken play on a University punt that created a scoring opportunity from the 1-yard line. Kicker Julian Del Castillo added two field goals and two extra points.
The Bulldogs will travel south down U.S. 1 to play St. Augustine next Friday, Oct. 9, at St. Augustine High School.
