Replacing National Night Out festivities with a more pandemic-appropriate event, the Flagler County Sheriff's Office hosted a two-hour drive-thru trick-or-treating event Oct. 6, at Rymfire Elementary School. It proved to be more popular than expected, with some waiting in line for about three hours. But volunteers and FCSO employees, including Sheriff Rick Staly, stayed the extra hour to full candy buckets for unicorns, super heroes and monsters in their carseats.
