Two dogs and two cats have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week.
The first pup is Lucy, a 7-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a tan coat. he originally came to the shelter in August 2018 and has since tried out a few homes, but has yet to find the perfect fit. Lucy is a cuddle bug and loves to be by your side all the time, but has high anxiety when it comes to loud noises such as thunderstorms, fireworks and the like. She would do best in a home with parents that have prior experience with dogs like her. She should also be the only pet in the home. Her adoption fee is $35.
The second is Doris, an 8-year-old terrier and American Staffordshire mix with a tan and white coat. She has been at the shelter since she was found as a stray in late June and is still looking for her forever home. She is a relaxed low-maintenance dog looking for a calm and patient home. She loves treats and lounging the shelter's outdoor kiddie pools. Her adoption fee is $35.
The first cat is Bonnie, a 5-year-old domestic shorthair tabby with a brown and white coat. She likes to play games, and will become fast friends with someone who will pet her and give her treats. Her adoption fee is $35.
Last but not least is Kiwi, a 6-month old domestic shorthair with a grey coat. Her adoption fee is $50.
The Halifax Humane Society is now open to the public by appointment only during its regular business hours. To adopt, contact [email protected] or call 274-4703.
