Mainland defeats New Smyrna at home 41-7

Mainland High School hosted New Smyrna Beach High School for a district game on Oct. 23.

The district matchup on Friday, Oct. 23, featured Mainland High School and New Smyrna Beach High School. Mainland scored early on and maintained its lead, only giving up one touchdown late in the third quarter. This would be the only time New Smyrna got on the board.

Going into the fourth quarter with a score of 34-7, Mainland pushed forward, eventually setting the final score to 41-7.

Tonight's win was particularly special, as it was Scott Wilson's 100th win as head coach of the Bucs.

The team will next play Seabreeze on Oct. 30.
