Resisting an officer with violence. A 42-year-old Ormond Beach woman dislocated a police officer's pinky finger during an arrest inside a local laundromat. Officers had arrived at the scene after receiving a call that the woman was being loud, refusing to leave and making a mess inside the business.

Police report they found the woman at a folding table with laundry. They approached her and asked what was going on, and the woman "began making nonsensical statements and claimed she lost a bracelet with her name on it," according to the report. The laundromat's manager requested the woman be trespassed, and when police informed the woman of this, she refused to leave.

She became irate and continued to yell, and as she resisted arrest, the officer was injured. Once she was escorted outside and medically cleared, the officer popped his finger back into place.

The woman was taken to jail.

Wine night

DUI. Police arrested a 58-year-old Daytona Beach woman who was drunk driving and ran a red light.

The reporting officer noted the woman had red, glassy eyes and could smell alcohol coming from her person, according to the report. The officer asked her to step out of the car, and the woman continued saying she had irritable bowel syndrome and needed to use the restroom, but refused medical care. The officer took notice of the four bottles of wine in her passenger seat, one of which was empty.

When the woman exited her car, she was barefoot. She also could not provide the officer with her address or date of birth, despite telling him she'd just had a birthday. She failed the field sobriety exercises, and during a later interview with police, told officers she had been going to "the store down the road." She told police she drank three small bottles of wine earlier that night.

She was taken to jail.
