Our Fall 2021 activities are here! From new programs for toddlers like Munchkin ABC’s and 123’s to monthly favorites like Lunch N’ Lecture, we have a variety of opportunities for residents of all ages to Explore, Connect, and Play in Palm Coast.

September 1 through 15 – Aqua Zumba (Fall Session 1 Mon/Wed) – Mondays and Wednesdays, Sept. 1-15 (no class September 6), 6-7pm at Palm Coast Aquatics Center, 339 Parkview Drive. September 1 through 30 – Parks for Pollinators BioBlitz – The month of September throughout Palm Coast. Help us to raise awareness of pollinators in our community! We'll be racing the clock to discover and document as many species as possible within Palm Coast. Download the iNaturalist app to start identifying wildlife in your environment. September 1 through October 6 – Eat Healthy, Be Active – Wednesdays, September 1-October 6, 11:30am-12:30pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. This workshop, taught by UF IFAS Family Nutrition Program, is designed to help people make better nutrition and physical activity choices, based on the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and the Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans. Topics include nutrition, meals, and snacks, eating healthy on a budget, losing weight, and physical activity. Activities may include picture books, different sensory activities, free play, and social interaction. Children will develop an understanding of textures, colors, fine motor skills, and vocabulary. Come learn the basic tools and techniques of drawing with certified art instructor Kristy Craigle. In this class you will develop the skills to support your artistic mindset. Understand form, value, and basic shapes in relation to the world around you by learning how to simplify your subject matter. These classes will help build your artistic confidence. September 3 – Book Club Social Corner: Potpourri - Friday, September 3, 10:30-11:30am at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Do you love to read? Each month will have a designated genre – September’s is Potpourri. You select and purchase a book that falls within the monthly category. September 4 – 14th Annual Intracoastal Waterway Cleanup – Saturday, September 4, 8am-1pm, supply pickup August 30-September 3 at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. The City is seeking volunteers to protect and enjoy nature by removing trash within their developments or along City paths, walkways, and waterways at the annual Intracoastal Waterway Cleanup. Boaters can work in saltwater canals and Intracoastal waters and walkers can clear the paths and trails alongside the waterway. Free, but pre-registration is encouraged at www.parksandrec.fun/events. September 4 – Labor Day Weekend Round Robin – Saturday, September 4, 9:30am-12pm at Palm Coast Tennis Center, 1290 Belle Terre Pkwy. Presented in partnership with AdventHealth and Friends of Tennis, this event includes round robin style tennis and the chance to celebrate the holiday weekend! $5/person, free for annual pass holders. September 7 through October 5 – Munchkin ABC’s & 123’s – Tuesdays, September 7-October 5, 10-11am at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Children will learn about letters and numbers through themed learning, snacks, hands-on crafts, and activities! This is a full immersion program for toddlers to help support language, cognition, and fine motor skills in a fun, healthy, and dynamic way. For ages 3-5 years. $20/session. September 10 – Movies in the Park – Friday, September 10, 7:50-10pm at Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave. Bring your blanket, lawn chairs, snacks, and your friends and neighbors to join you at this monthly, free, family activity. September 10 through 19 – Palm Coast & the Flagler Beaches Senior Games – Friday-Sunday, September 10-12, 8am-2pm at Palm Coast Tennis Center, 1290 Belle Terre Pkwy; Thursday, September 16, 9am-3pm at Palm Harbor Golf Club, 20 Palm Harbor Dr.; Friday-Sunday, September 17-19, 9am-4pm at James F. Holland Memorial Park, 18 Florida Park Drive. Presented in partnership with AdventHealth. Whether you are an active adult, former elite athlete, or just looking for motivation to train, you can find your game at the Senior Games. Competition is held in 5-year increment age groups, awarding the top three in each division a medal. Compete in pickleball, tennis, and golf. For ages 50 years and older. $15/person/sport. September 11 – 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony & Survivor Tree Dedication – Saturday, September 11, 6:30-7:30pm at Heroes Memorial Park, 2860 Palm Coast Pkwy. In commemoration of the 20th Anniversary of the September 11th Terrorist Attacks, the Palm Coast Fire Department will host a remembrance ceremony and dedication of the Survivor Tree. Palm Coast Fire Department received a 10’ seedling of the 9/11 Survivor Tree from the 9/11 Memorial Museum. A Callery pear tree became known as the “Survivor Tree” after enduring the September 11, 2001 terror attacks at the World Trade Center. The tree was removed from the rubble and placed in the care of the New York City Department of Parks and Recreation. After its recovery and rehabilitation, the tree was returned to the Memorial in 2010. New, smooth limbs extended from the gnarled stumps, creating a visible demarcation between the tree’s past and present. Today, the tree stands as a living reminder of resilience, survival, and rebirth. Free. More info: parksandrec.fun/events
September 13 – Teddy Bear Picnic Parks Tour – Monday, September 13, 10-11am at Ralph Carter Park, 1385 Rymfire Dr. Join us for this interactive program where toddlers are invited to bring their favorite teddy bear to playfully themed outings that include a snack, story, game, and craft at some of our local parks here in our community. Homeschoolers, we’ve got you covered! In one convenient block, the kids may create an artistic masterpiece, prepare a delectable treat, get their sweat on through physical recreation, or delve into the fun world of STEM assisted by Lego Education Robots! September 14 – Bellies and Babies – Tuesday, September 14, 4:30-5:30pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. A gathering for new mothers and moms-to-be, Bellies and Babies is designed to support women during pregnancy, new motherhood, and breastfeeding. Go from feeling unsure to “I got this,” all while building friendships in a supportive environment. September 18 – Arbor Day – Saturday, September 18, 9am-2pm at Central Park in Town Center, 975 Central Ave. Palm Coast's love of trees and commitment to environmental sustainability will be celebrated at the day-long event featuring a tree give-away, butterfly release and tent, live entertainment, food/pet food drive, exhibits, petting zoo and fun activities for all ages. Admission is free, and free professional paper-shredding will be available. Attendees can exchange canned food or pet food items for a free three-gallon native hardwood tree (while supplies last). September 18 – First Aid and CPR/AED Course – Saturday, September 18, 9am-4pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Heartsaver First Aid is a 7-hour classroom course (includes 1 hour for lunch) that is designed to meet OSHA regulations. The course teaches basic first aid skills: administering CPR to an infant, young child, or an adult; using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED); using a mask or barrier device; how to stop visible bleeding; assist with possible sprain or broken bone; securing the scene for safety. September 18 – Palm Coast Historical Society Speakers Series – Saturday, September 18, 10-11am at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. September features Flagler County Court Judge Andrea K. Totten. Judge Totten will discuss the Eighth Amendment of the United States Constitution. Learn effective methods to ward off attackers in this three-day class. Commander Michael Lutz from the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office will teach you skills that will make you more aware of your surroundings as well as methods to protect yourself and safety tips to implement right away. This month’s event features the return of our Firetruck Pull which features local law enforcement and fire crews going head to head! September 23 – Quit Your Way. Stop Tobacco – Thursday, September 23, 6-8pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. This single-session program will provide you with the valuable tools you need to help you quit tobacco. These include: creating a quit plan, learning strategies and skills to deal with nicotine cravings to remain tobacco-free, dealing with slips, having the opportunity to share your experience with others in a friendly, respectful and supportive group setting, as well as FREE patches, gum, or lozenges, if medically appropriate. Tuesdays – Diabetes Self-Management Education - Tuesdays, 1-3pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Diabetes Self-Management Education classes are facilitated and taught by a Registered Dietitian from The Florida Department of Health. You will first have a one-on-one assessment, which is then followed by three 2-hour long weekly sessions and 1 follow-up session. Tuesdays – Beginning Ballet & Tap for Toddlers – Tuesdays, 4:30-5:15pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Begin your little one’s introduction to ballet and tap! Through ballet, dancers will learn proper classroom etiquette, practice large and small motor skills, and begin to develop flexibility, strength, body alignment, and technique. Dancers will also learn the basic steps of tap, which are designed to help a dancer develop rhythm, style, and sound. The class will conclude with a recital. For ages 3-4 years. $160/session. Tuesdays - Dance with Me! Ballroom Dance Classes – Tuesdays, 6:30-7:30pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Don’t just sit and watch Dancing with the Stars this year, be part of the action! Instructors Tom and Jo Sanders will teach you the Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba, and East Coast Swing dance styles. Beginners are welcome and partners are not required. $10/class.
