Alan Lowe has filed again to run for the District 2 Palm Coast City Council seat, according to the Flagler County Supervisor of Elections Office.

He'd filed for the seat previously, but had withdrawn his candidacy in order to run in the July 2021 special election for the city's mayoral seat, losing to David Alfin, after the resignation of former Mayor Milissa Holland. Lowe had also challenged Holland for the mayoral seat in the 2020 elections.

The District 2 Palm Coast City Council seat is currently held by Councilman Victor Barbosa, who is challenging County Commissioner Joe Mullins for the District 4 County Commission seat rather than running for reelection to the Palm Coast City Council position.

As of Dec. 9, one two other people — Steffanie Ramsey and local pastor Sims Jones — have also filed for the District 2 Palm Coast City Council seat.
