Pirates crown district champions, team finishes fourth

Matanzas had four individual champions at the district meet

Matanzas wrestling hosted this year's 2A District 4 Championships on Feb. 17. The event saw four Pirates (Carter Wilder, Tyson Mills, Jordan Mills and Robert Elder) emerge as individual champions, and other teammates have top five finishes. The results for each individual wrestler, along with their weight class is below:

 

106 - Carter Wilder (15-8) placed 1st.

 113 - Braden Hawley (10-6) placed 3rd.

120 - Riley White (6-7) place is unknown.

126 - Toryion Stallings (14-9) placed 4th.

132 - Logan Mayer (12-9) placed 3rd.

138 - Isabella Tietje (6-6) placed 6th.

145 - Joshua Olivo (1-4) placed 6th.

152 - Tyson Mills (20-4) placed 1st.

160 - Jordan Mills (17-5) placed 1st.

170 - Brandyn Cox (5-8) placed 3rd.

182 - Quincy Cuthbert (8-6) placed 2nd.

195 - Christian White (2-6) placed 5th.

220 - Adyn Cox (6-9) placed 5th.

285 - Robert Elder (17-3) placed 1st.
