Volusia County Schools recognized 10 administrators who have graduated from its principal intern program at the School Board meeting on Monday, June 7.
According to a press release by VCS, the program is a comprehensive two-year internship designed to prepare principals for their careers. It is based on the Florida Principal Leadership Standards, and and "aims to build leadership capacity through an extended series of professional growth opportunities and experiences."
“The future of Volusia County Schools is bright with these 10 Principal Intern graduates leading the way,” said VCS Superintendent Scott Fritz in the press release. “This is an extensive program, and we are grateful to these educators for making this commitment to our students and community.”
