Matanzas improved its record to 4-1 after winning against the visiting Seabreeze Sandcrabs. The March 5 game was scoreless late until a solo homer by pitcher Emma Wood gave the Pirates the win.
The team will next compete against University (Orange City) at home on March 9 and then DeLand on March 10, also at home. Both games are scheduled to begin at 7 pm.
