As Volusia and Flagler counties prepare for Bike Week 2021, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) wants to remind everyone on the roadways to practice safe driving and common sense during the 10-day event, which began on Friday, March 5, 2021.

As Flagler County roads become congested with Bike Week participants, motorists and pedestrians are encouraged to be extra careful to prevent accidents and tragedies. FCSO will be out in full force countywide to protect keep our roadways safe, watch for impaired drivers, manage traffic and target criminal activity, including motorcycle and vehicle theft.

“If you are participating in Bike Week this year we want to make sure that you do so safely and use common sense,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “We will have zero tolerance for drinking and driving and aggressive driving. Our deputies will be out actively patrolling but we ask that everyone drive safely. Be vigilant and drive free from distractions to avoid any dangerous conditions. Remember, look twice and if you see something suspicious, report it to FCSO.”

Do your part: If you see something, say something. Report suspicious activity or aggressive driving to the Flagler County Sheriff's Office by calling our non-emergency line: (386) 313-4911.  Call 9-1-1 in the event of an emergency.
