A plot of vacant land at the southwest corner of Pine Lakes Parkway and White Mill Drive in Palm Coast has a new owner and is slated for residential development.

Residential developer KB Homes purchased the land from California-based Miral Corp. for $2.85 million in a transaction negotiated by commercial real estate brokerage SVN Alliance's Chris Butera, according to a news release from SVN Alliance.

The land is zoned for up to 205 single-family lots, and site work will start immediately, with construction overseen by KB Homes’ Jacksonville division, according to the news release.

The parcel is north of Whiteview Parkway and east of Woodborn Lane, surrounded by residential homes and, on Whiteview, two churches.

The proposed single-family development is one of a number of new residential communities slated for construction in Palm Coast. A community of up to 494 homes is planned for land near Colbert Lane and State Road 100, and a development of up to 268 homes is planned for the former Matanzas Woods Golf Course property.
