A new family-owned business, To Better Days Wine Bar and Bistro, opened this year on Jan. 21. The establishment offers a wide selection of red and white wines in addition to a full menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. While the business is fairly new, the owners, Carlos Soldevilla and his wife, have been serving the Ormond Beach community for over 10 years. They formerly operated La’s Bistro, a similar dining experience that closed in 2020.
After a particularly tumultuous year for many, the family sees the new year with optimism, which is reflected in the name. The name comes from a cartoon the family was watching with their 3-year old son.
They hope to drive a successful year for their business by offering a unique experience with a relaxed atmosphere, including a keyboardist and several monthly events.
Wine Launch happens the first of each month and features a tasting of all the newly available wines.
Wine Bingo takes place on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Wined Down Fridays offer happy hour discounts.
What's the most recommended menu item? Carols Soldevilla said it's the Pancake Carcuterie Board. A photo of the board has over 30,000 views on Facebook.
Reflecting on Ormond's support of the former La's Bistro, he added: “Thanks for ten great years, looking forward to more.”
