The Flagler Palm Coast High School Thespians are taking on one of Broadway’s most ambitious productions: Stephen Sondheim’s Tony Award-winning classic “Into the Woods.” Intertwining timeless storybook characters and iconic music, the production takes audiences on an enchanting and sometimes dark look into human connections and the importance of family in tumultuous times. Featuring some of the high school’s most talented performers, the full-length, fully staged performance runs from May 13 to May 15.

The Flagler Palm Coast High School Thespians are well known for their ambitious excursions into musical performance. Wrote one critic, “Their performances are first-quality. Their level of professionalism is Broadway-ready.” This performance of “Into the Woods” is the latest of the groups’ repertoire including “Moon over Buffalo,” “Les Miserables,” and “Much Ado About Nothing.”
Stephen Sondheim is one of the best-known composers and lyricists of the modern era. His numerous creations include “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum,” “A Little Night Music,” “Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street,” and “Sunday in the Park with George.” He is also known for writing the lyrics for “West Side Story,” and “Gypsy.” He has received an Academy Award, eight Tony Awards, a Special Tony Award, eight Grammy Awards, a Pulitzer Prize, a Laurence Olivier Award, and a 2015 Presidential Medal of Freedom.
In accordance with CDC guidelines, the Auditorium audience will be at 25% capacity. Health screening, temperature checks, and face coverings are required. The Auditorium employs a newly installed state-of-the-art circulating clean air system utilizing Global Plasma Technology.
