Get the family up and moving on Thanksgiving Day with our Feet to Feast 5k Walk/Run. And don’t miss our traditional Tree Lighting: We’ll flip the switch and our tree will light up Central Park. We have a variety of opportunities for residents of all ages to Explore, Connect, and Play in Palm Coast!

November 2 – Caregiver Support Group – Tuesday, November 2, 11:30am-12:30pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Presented in partnership with Brookdale Palm Coast. When caring for an aging parent or spouse, you may feel like no one understands what you’re experiencing. Join our Caregiver Support Group, and take a break with other caregivers. November 4 through December 16 – Teen/Youth Indoor Rowing Class – Thursdays, November 4-December 16 at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. The City of Palm Coast and the Palm Coast Rowing Club (PCRC) have teamed up to offer middle and high school youth an indoor rowing development and exercise opportunity. Each month will have a designated genre – November’s is Best Sellers, Fact or Fiction. You select and purchase a book that falls within the monthly category. November 6 – Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers – Saturday, November 6, 9am-1pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. The Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers Course provides healthcare professionals the ability to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, administer CPR, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, effective, and timely manner. Examples of those who may need this certification are EMS personnel, physician assistants, dentists, nurses, respiratory therapists, and others. November 9 through December 7 – Intermediate Painting – Tuesdays, November 9-December 7, 4-5:30pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Refuel your inner artist in this intermediate painting program. We will build upon basic painting fundamentals you may have under your belt or have acquired in the Intro to Painting program. In this course, certified art instructor Kristy Craigle will help you achieve an understanding of color theory, composition, style, form, balance, and so much more. November 9 – Bellies and Babies – Tuesday, November 9, 4:30-5:30pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. A gathering for new mothers and moms-to-be, Bellies and Babies is designed to support women during pregnancy, new motherhood, and breastfeeding. Go from feeling unsure to “I got this,” all while building friendships in a supportive environment. This breastfeeding class provides expectant mothers with the knowledge to breastfeed their new baby with confidence. November 11 – Veterans Day Celebration – Thursday, November 11, 11am-1pm at Central Park, 975 Central Ave. The City of Palm Coast is partnering with Flagler County to honor our veterans. Join Flagler County at the Government Services Building for a ceremony. Veterans and their families are then welcome to join The City of Palm Coast for a BBQ luncheon at Central Park. November 13 – First Aid and CPR/AED Course – Saturday, November 13, 9am-4pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. Heartsaver First Aid is a 7-hour classroom course (includes 1 hour for lunch) that is designed to meet OSHA regulations. The course teaches basic first aid skills: administering CPR to an infant, young child, or an adult; using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED); using a mask or barrier device; how to stop visible bleeding; assist with possible sprain or broken bone; securing the scene for safety. November 14 – World Diabetes Day – Saturday, November 14, 4-5pm at Central Park, 975 Central Ave. Presented in partnership with AdventHealth and the DiaBEATes Alliance. November 18 – Quit Your Way. Stop Tobacco – Thursday, November 18, 6-8pm at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. This single-session program will provide you with the valuable tools you need to help you quit tobacco. These include: creating a quit plan, learning strategies and skills to deal with nicotine cravings to remain tobacco-free, dealing with slips, having the opportunity to share your experience with others in a friendly, respectful and supportive group setting, as well as FREE patches, gum, or lozenges, if medically appropriate. Tuesdays – Diabetes Prevention – Tuesdays, 9-10am at Palm Coast Community Center, 305 Palm Coast Pkwy. NE. The National Diabetes Prevention Program (NDPP) is presented in partnership with the Florida Department of Health. The National Diabetes Prevention Program was created for individuals diagnosed with pre-Diabetes or who are at risk for developing Type 2 Diabetes. The DPP is a year-long program, consisting of 8 weekly core sessions followed by 16 bi-weekly post-core sessions. Free, but registration and a referral are required. You will first have a one-on-one assessment, which is then followed by three 2-hour long weekly sessions and 1 follow-up session. Pinochle is a trick-taking card game typically for two to four players and played with a 48-card deck. Dancers will enjoy this interactive class that builds on basic movements learned in the Ballet/Tap combination class but is still appropriate for first-time dancers. This beginning level class is designed to develop an awareness of alignment and basic ballet vocabulary and technique.
