Details: The Ormond Scenic Loop and Trail will hold its fall guided trail walk at North Peninsula State Park. Participants will meet at the parking lot of the Smith Creek landing before walking the trail for about two hours, discussing plants, wildlife and natural history with Dr. Don Spence, certified master arborist and plant pathologist. Details: Volunteers will visit neighborhoods in northeast Volusia County where stormwater drains directly into canals. They will mark the drains with "no dumping" curb markers and learn how fertilizers and other neighborhood contaminants harm water bodies. Registration is required; call 386-736-5927.
