Lt. Hank Jackson and his son Mike Jackson will host a turkey giveaway at Lt. Jackson's home at 237 Boulder Rock Drive in Palm Coast.

The event will be held on the Tuesday preceding Thanksgiving: Tuesday, Nov. 23, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be first-come, first-served for 40 free turkeys.

The event is sponsored by the Women of Virtue, a foundation created by Mike Jackson.

Hank Jackson, a retired law enforcement officer, spent 13 years as a Volusia County Sheriff's Office lieutenant, and 33 years in uniform, before his retirement.

The Jacksons have been involved with other local charitable efforts, including a previous turkey giveaway as well as bicycle and backpack giveaways for school students.
