Residential burglaries and car burglaries have both trended downward in Flagler County since 2016, with residential burglaries showing a drop of approximately 78% from 2016 to 2020 while car break-ins showed a decrease of about 62% over the same time period.
In the case of residential burglaries, last year's number could be exceeded by this year's; there were 63 residential burglary cases last year, and have been 61 this year through the end of October. For car break-ins, the downward trend continues: There were 188 last year, and 104 this year.
Over the course of the calendar year, neither crime has shown much of a pattern. Monthly residential burglaries have ranged from zero (in June) to 11 (in September); car break-ins had a high of 14 (in April) and a low of six (in October).
