What's more fitting than a procession of classic cars in the Birthplace of Speed?
The 63rd-annual Gaslight Parade rolled into town on Friday, Nov. 26, featuring antique cars dating 1996 and older. From Ford Model As to Volkswagen Beetles, classic car enthusiasts headed to the downtown strip of East Granada Boulevard for the local Thanksgiving weekend tradition. The parade is hosted by the Volusia Region Antique Automobile Club of America, and returned to Ormond Beach this year after it was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The parade will be followed by the Birthplace of Speed Antique Car Show, to be held at Fortunato Park on Saturday, Nov. 27, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
