On Sunday, Oct. 3, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office attempted to conduct a traffic stop on County Road 55 when the driver tried to flee and crashed into an FCSO patrol vehicle. The driver was later found to be a fugitive on drug charges from Putnam County and did not have a valid driver’s license.

“He tried to flee from our deputies and then carelessly crashed into a patrol car," Sheriff Rick Staly said. "Fortunately, no one was hurt.”

The man is being held on a $12,000 bond.
