The Flagler Palm Coast and Matanzas football teams have the Potato Bowl.
Now the combined boys and girls golf teams from the two high schools will have their own rivalry match.
The schools ended their regular seasons Oct. 14 with a nine-hole scramble at Palm Harbor Golf Club with a boy and girl paired together on each scramble team.
Matanzas won the match 136-158.
The first-time experiment was a success, Matanzas girls coach Brandie Alred said, and now the four golf coaches want to make it an annual tradition preceding the post-season district tournaments.
The annual match will tentatively be known as the Palm Coast Cup.
"We plan to have a trophy next year and a cookout," Alred said.
Matanzas' Zoe Alred and Alek Libby won the match with a score of 31.
Alexandra Gazzoli and Trevor Challice finished second with a 32.
FPC's Kate Parsons and Wynter Dodson were third with a 34.
