Details: Halifax Humane Society and Subaru of Daytona are hosting an adoption event, made possible via a grant from the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. There will be games, food, giveaways and a Halloween pet costume contest. HHS aims to adopt out at least 30 animals.

Details: Presented by Allengang Entertainment, this show pays tribute to some Motown legends — including The Temptations, Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin and Gladys Knight and the Pips — with a twist. Four singers and dancers will inject youth, energy and wit into this show, with a few surprises along the way. Tickets reserved in advance cost $30; $35 at the door.
