FCSO to honor fallen Deputy Sheriff Paul Luciano on Sept. 3

There will be a procession on Sept. 2 at 12pm and on Sept. 3 at 9 a.m.

On Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, at noon, there will be a procession for Deputy Paul Luciano from Volusia Memorial Gardens, located at 550 N. Nova Road in Ormond Beach to Flagler Craig Palms Funeral Home, located at 511 S. Old Kings Road in Palm Coast. The route to be taken is Nova Road, to U.S. 1 North, to Old Dixie Highway eastbound to Old Kings Road traveling north to the funeral home. Travel delays are expected along this route between noon and 12:45 p.m. Residents may line the travel route to pay their respects.

On Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at 9 a.m., there will be a procession from Flagler Craig Palms Funeral Home to the First Baptist Church of Bunnell in preparation for the services at 11 AM. The route will be north on Old Kings Road from the Flagler Craig Palms Funeral home and then will proceed west on SR-100 to Commerce Drive and will then proceed south on Commerce Drive to the First Baptist Church of Bunnell. Travel delays are expected along this route between 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. Residents may line the travel route to pay their respects.

Media and the community are invited to attend the services to honor our fallen hero, Deputy Paul Luciano, on Friday, Sept. 3, at 11 a.,m. at the First Baptist Church of Bunnell, 2301 Commerce Drive in Bunnell. After the ceremony and outside rendering of honors, there will be a procession back to Flagler Craig Palms Funeral Home, Palm Coast. Traffic delays can be expected during this processional. The previous travel route will be used except in reverse order.

“I encourage the community to join us in honoring our fallen hero this Friday,” Sheriff Rick Staly said. “The loss of Deputy Luciano is devastating to all of us and we ask for continued prayers for his family and the FCSO during this time. We are mourning one of our own who served his community for 25 years and Deputy Luciano will be greatly missed by his brothers and sisters in law enforcement. We welcome anyone wanting to attend his funeral services and appreciate your condolences as we say goodbye to our fallen hero.”

Sheriff Rick Staly, the men and women of the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office, and the Luciano Family welcome anyone from the community wanting to pay their respects in honoring our fallen hero, Deputy Paul Luciano, to join us on Friday, Sept. 3, 2021, at 11 a.m. The family has requested that all persons attending wear a mask and social distance during all church events.
