The following was posted on the Palm Coast Fire Department's Facebook page:
Palm Coast Fire Department Engine 22 responded on the morning of Sept. 3 to the Dunkin' Donuts parking lot on Old Kings Road for an animal in distress. Upon investigation, crews found a 3-week-old kitten stuck in the wheel well of a Chevrolet Equinox. With the vehicle owner's permission, the wheel well liner was removed, and the little feline was rescued.
To make this an even happier story, Firefighter Brandy DeMarco is an animal lover and immediately adopted the distressed kitten, now named “Chevy.”
