Halifax Genealogical Society monthly webinar

Saturday, Sept. 11

9/11 Moving Tribute

When: 7-8 a.m.

Where: Embry-Riddle Track, 219 S. Clyde Morris Blvd.

Details: Team RWB Daytona will host a tribute to the 20th anniversary of 9/11 with community members, first responders and military veterans. They will move the flag in relay style from sunrise to sunset to honor the 2,977 lives lost on 9/11. 

9/11 Memorial bridge walk

When: 7:50 a.m. 

Where: David Hood Plaza, Ormond Beach City Hall, 22 S. Beach St.

Details: Join the first responders of Ormond Beach as they embark on a memorial walk over the Granada Bridge to honor those who lost their lives on Sept. 11. Meet at the David Hood Plaza. 10th Ormond Beach Celtic Festival

When: 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 11; and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12

Where: Rockefeller Gardens, 26 Riverside Drive

Details: Clans, pipers and highland game athletes will gather in Rockefeller Gardens and Fortunato Park for two days of folk music, food and fun from the seven Celtic Nations and Beyond. Halifax Genealogical Society 'Genealogy in the Library' program

When: 1-4 p.m.

Where: Virtual on Zoom
