Ormond Beach Family YMCA breaks ground for expansion project

The remodeling includes a new wellness center, locker rooms and a new childcare center.

On Monday, Sept. 13, the Ormond Beach Family YMCA held a groundbreaking ceremony for the first phase of the remodeling of the Ormond Beach YMCA, located at 500 Sterthaus Drive.

“This is the beginning of our expansion and remodel – our new playground is nearly complete, we are starting on our new wellness center, adult and children’s locker rooms, new kids zone, new childcare center and new group exercise and spin classrooms,” said Chris Seilkop, President/CEO of the Volusia Flagler Family YMCA, in a press release. 


The Ormond Beach Family YMCA can be reached at 386-673-9622 or https://www.vfymca.org/. They are open Monday through Friday from 5 a.m. until 9 p.m., Saturday from 7 a.m.. until 5 p.m. and Sunday from 12-5 p.m.
