On Sunday, Sept. 19, the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office responded to a call about suspicious activity occurring on Blueberry Street in Bunnell.

As deputies arrived and asked two residents about two motorcycles, which deputies suspected were stolen, the deputies also discovered a small, red, zippered bag. Inside the bag was a glass smoking pipe with a white residue and burn marks on it. The pipe is one typically used to smoke methamphetamines. Deputies also found two smaller Ziplock baggies with crystal-like residue inside. The substance was field-tested by deputies, which was positive for methamphetamines. The motorcycle was later determined to not be stolen.

The man and woman have been arrested on drug charges in the past.

“This is another example of ‘see something, say something’,” said Sheriff Rick Staly. “A neighbor saw something suspicious and called the Sheriff’s Office to report suspicious activity, which resulted in these arrests and narcotics off the streets.”

The man and woman were each held on $3,000 bond at the county jail.
