Halifax Humane Society is over capacity and needs fosters and adopters

Adoption fees are discounted this weekend for dogs and cats 1 year and older.

We are over capacity and are looking at all avenues to get animals out of the shelter. In addition to requesting temporary fosters, we are also discounting adoption fees for dogs (170) and cats (91) 1 year and older by 50% until Sunday, 4/3/2022. Rabbits, guinea pigs, and other critters are 50% off their adoption fee regardless of age.

Please consider adopting a homeless animal this weekend. It is the beginning of kitten season, and we need to make room for more incoming animals. This promotion ends Sunday, April 3. Thank you in advance for your support and kindness to our community’s animals.
