Three dogs and one cat have been featured as this week's Halifax Humane Society Adoptable Pets of the Week, all for the second week in a row.
The first dog is Blossom, an 8-year-old Boxer mix with a black and white coat. She came to the shelter back in December after her owner surrendered her due to not being able to care for her anymore. She is energetic, and loves to play. Many of the staff at the Halifax Humane Society call her "goofball" because of her personality. Her adoption fee is $35.
The second is Chikin Lil, a 5-year-old hound mix with a black and brown coat. Her adoption fee is $70.
The third is Champ, a 1-year-old American Staffordshire mix with a tan coat. He would do best in a house with no cats and no small children. His adoption fee is $150.
Last but not least is Taco, a 3-year-old domestic shorthair with a grey coat. She is a "Working Whiskers" cat, and not socialized with humans so she may not do well in a traditional household. But, she is able to provide pest control for barns, warehouses, wineries, plant nurseries and more. Her adoption fee is waived.
The Halifax Humane Society's adoption lobby, located at 2364 LPGA Blvd., is open to the public daily from noon to 6 p.m. Admissions are accepted daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Appointments are required for admissions, boarding and grooming. There is no appointment required to visit the adoption lobby. Masks are not required but encouraged. To adopt, contact [email protected] or call 274-4703.
