Three upcoming shows at the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center are serving as fundraisers for the Friends of the Ormond Beach Performing Arts Center lobby renovation project. Featuring the Majesty of Rock, U.S. Stones and Divas of Jazz, the three concerts will be held next weekend. Plans to renovate the PAC's lobby have been in the works since 2019.
Kicking off the weekend of fundraising will be Majesty of Rock, to perform at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, April 29. They are a group of five musicians who will be recreating the sound and feel of two American super groups: Journey and Styx. According to the PAC, the band "captures every nuance of these iconic legends so precisely, they are in constant demand." Majesty of Rock will perform the hits of both bands, and tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
At 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, the U.S. Stones will take the stage. They are a Rolling Stones six-piece tribute band featuring Doug Baird and Eric Anderson as Mick Jaggers and Keith Richards. "High energy and the ability to reproduce the persona of each member with mannerisms, authentic gear and stage outfits, allows The U.S. Stones to bring the look, feel and swagger to the stage," a press release states. The group has performed to an estimated audience of over 125,000 people sine 2012, and tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
Finally, at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 1, the Divas of Jazz will return to the PAC to present "A Golden Afternoon of Jazz Greatness," featuring Nina Skyy. The Divas of Jazz are an all-female group and have performed at Disney. Some members of the group have also toured with notable artists, such as Prince. Tickets cost $30 in advance or $35 at the door.
Tickets can also be purchased online at ormondbeach.org/267/Performing-Arts-Center, or at the PAC box office, located at 399 N. U.S. 1 in Ormond Beach. The box office is open Tuesday through Friday 12-5 p.m, and two hours prior to performances.
