One killed, two in critical condition after head-on crash on State Road 11

An eastbound sedan crossed into the westbound lanes and struck an SUV, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

A 59-year-old New Jersey woman was killed and two Florida residents are in critical contains after a head-on crash on State Road 11 in Flagler County the morning of April 24, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.

The crash occurred at about 10:50 a.m. on S.R. 11 west of Haw Creek Road, as an eastbound sedan driven by a 47-year-old Deltona man crossed into the westbound lane, striking an SUV driven by a 41-year-old Jupiter woman, according to a news release from the FHP.

The 41-year-old driver of the SUV had minor injuries, but a 59-year-old Bedminster, New Jersey woman in the SUV died, and another passenger, a 79-year-old woman from Groveland, is in critical condition, according to the news release.

The 47-year-old man who was driving the sedan is also in critical condition. His sole passenger, a 19-year-old man, had minor injuries, according to the news release.
