Rymfire Elementary holds first Multicultural Festival

The 5th and 6th graders' Cultural Club wanted to increase the cultural awareness at Rymfire so that students of all heritages feel included.

Rymfire Elementary Media Specialist

Rymfire's fifth and sixth grade Community Problem Solver group Culture Club held the first Multicultural Festival on April 20. The Cultural Club's goal this year has been to increase the cultural awareness at Rymfire so that students of all heritages feel included. Italy, Turkey, Portugal, Laos, Vietnam, Haiti and England were represented as well as the FPC High School Ebony Society and Native Americans. Families participated in crafts, dancing, and enjoyed a DJ playing music from around the world and a live bagpipe performance. RES plans to continue this tradition each year.
