Details: Attend this Ormond Beach Historical Society speaker series event, sponsored by a grant from the Florida Humanities. University of Florida professor Jerald T. Milanich will recount how, despite Spain having founded over 150 missions from Florida to the Chesapeake Bay beginning in the 1560s with the largest number of Timucua towns in south Georgia and north Florida, only two missions remained by 1763. Details: The library is offering two programs for adults who would rather work out while seated. On select Mondays, staff will lead "Sit and Be Fit" classes, which focus on stretch and strengthening exercises. On select Tuesdays, certified yoga instructor Carol Jones will offer a gentle chair yoga practice. Seating is limited. All fitness levels are welcome. Free and registrations are not required.
