Tuscan Gardens of Palm Coast Senior Living recently held a "senior prom" for its residents.
"Hosting a senior prom is a great way to appreciate our seniors," said Kori Dahlberg, who planned the event, in a supplied statement. "It helps form new friendships and keep isolation at bay.”
The prom theme? "Step Back in Time."
The residents dressed up, took to the dance floor, dined and celebrated as a prom king and queen were crowned. Additionally, Yarelis Cortez, Tuscan Gardens’ care associate, came in on her day off to share her passion with the residents, taking the time to offer makeup services to make them feel extra special, the statement reads.
Haven’s St. Augustine Attic Resale Store donated all of the formal wear for residents. Hammock Thrift Shop also offered a shopping experience before the big day, and Salon Revive closed doors early to help the residents get dolled up for the prom.
