Isabel Irene Culmone (Kaufhold) of Palm Coast, FL, formerly of Bogota, NJ, passed away in peace on July 30, 2022.
Isabel was a talented crochetier, providing her children, grandchildren, and other loved family members and friends with a seemingly endless supply of lovingly crafted hats, scarves, leg warmers, mittens, sweaters, and blankets.
Devoted spouse to Anthony Culmone Sr., predeceased in June 2011. Loving mother to Dianne Bandelt, Richard Culmone, Jodi Culmone-Quinlan, Michael Culmone and the late Anthony Culmone Jr. and Jean Hostak. Doting grandmother to Jeffrey and Matthew Hostak, Megan Bandelt, Skylar Bracewell, Christopher, Nicholas, Dustin, Alyssa, and the late Kassidy Culmone. Beloved aunt, cousin, and friend to many. Isabel was born November 15, 1932, and resided Ridgefield Park as a child with her parents Fredrick and Clara (Carlson) Kaufhold and nine siblings, later graduating from Teaneck High School. Upon marrying Anthony Sr., they moved to Bogota in 1958, where both were active parishioners of St. Joseph’s Church and members of the Bogota community, with Isabel acting as Den Mother to the Cub Scouts at St. Joseph’s. Isabel was employed at Alderny Dairy Company before staying home with her six children, and later held employment at JCPenney. Isabel was a talented crochetier, providing her children, grandchildren, and other loved family members and friends with a seemingly endless supply of lovingly crafted hats, scarves, leg warmers, mittens, sweaters, and blankets. Isabel and Anthony moved to Harriman, NY in 1984, and after Anthony’s retirement from Carpenter’s Union Local 157 in New York, they moved to Palm Coast, Florida, in 1988 where they resided until both Anthony and Isabel’s passing.
