DSC recognizes first graduating class of its MOCI program

The Men of Character Initiative program was created to help students from underserved populations attend and graduate from college.

The first cohort of Daytona State College students participating in the Men of Character Initiative program were honored last week during a ceremony at the Mori Hosseini Center.

According to a press release, the program — created to help students from underserved populations attend and graduate from college — has existed for several years, but this group of students was the first to work together through the program. 

“We are tremendously proud of these students and look forward to the contributions they will be making to our communities and the world at large,” Daytona State College President Tom LoBasso said. “We’re excited about this program and the value it brings to everyone involved.”
