SMA Healthcare Chief Operating Officer Rhonda Harvey, who has been with SMA for 29 years, will retire effective July 1, according to a news release from SMA. Nicole Sharbono will be promoted to chief operating officer.
Harvey will become director of external affairs for SMA on Jan. 1.
“Words just don’t do justice what Rhonda Harvey means both to SMA Healthcare and to me, personally,” CEO Ivan Cosimi said, according to the news release. “We are incredibly thankful for her long-term commitment to our mission and know she will be missed as she takes this next step in her career. She is a tremendous asset to our organization and we look forward to what this chapter brings for her.”
“SMA Healthcare has had a remarkable impact on my life and I am proud of all the work we were able to accomplish in my time here,” said Harvey. “Decisions like this are never easy, but I look forward to the next stage of my life and seeing how our organization continues to flourish and the impact it makes in our communities.”
Sharbono is a licensed mental health counselor and has worked with SMA Healthcare for 10 years, most recently as the Senior VP of Clinical Services, according to the news release.
In addition, Sarah Burman will be promoted to to chief administrative officer, and Kelly Mellichampe will be promoted to chief human resources officer, effective Jan. 1.
“I am excited to announce all three of these well-deserved promotions,” Cosimi said. “These promotions will increase our administrative capacity as we continue to extend our service footprint and allow us to accomplish even more as an organization.”
